About 1C Composite Engineering

1C Composite Engineering GmbH in Niederbreitbach (Rhineland-Palatinate) develops, engineers and manufactures lightweight components made from fibre composites. Founded in 2002 as First COMPOSITES GmbH, the company processes carbon (CFRP), aramid (AFRP), glass (GFRP), hybrid constructions and natural fibres using processes such as RTM, vacuum infusion, hand lay-up and pressing. Its core technology is the patented, sensor-supported RTM-ROBOT® injection process, in use since 2012, which enables highly complex integral and structural components to be produced in a one-shot process. The value chain is complemented by model and prototype building, tool and mould making in aluminium and plastics, and 5-axis CNC finishing of components up to 3,500 x 1,500 x 1,100 mm. Production volumes range from one-off parts up to 1,500 parts per year per component and variant. Customers come from automotive, aerospace, medi-tech, industry, marine and sports, including JetZero, TWIKE, ID Innovative Dragon and Brabus.
