2B FermControl GmbH is a company founded in 2003 in Breisach am Rhein, specializing in the development and distribution of oenological products for winemaking. The portfolio includes dry pure-culture yeasts, yeast derivatives, fermentation nutrients (supplements), oenological tannins, malolactic fermentation (MLF) starter cultures for biological deacidification, as well as barriques, wooden barrel alternatives and accessories. All products are offered according to the principle of minimalist winemaking, based on the company's own research and development, and exclusively use organic-certified raw materials. The company operates independently of major manufacturers and handles import, trade, warehousing, order picking and distribution along the value chain. The products are aimed at vintners and wineries, which the company states are supplied worldwide. After the death of the founder Carsten Heinemeyer in December 2023, the team continues to run the company in accordance with his philosophy “Less is more”.
