About 3A Composites

3A Composites develops, manufactures and markets high-quality plastic sheets (extruded and cast sheets), aluminum composite materials, paper and foam boards as well as core materials based on balsa wood and PET foam. The company serves the Display & Graphic Arts, Core Materials, Architecture & Design and Industry segments with brands such as ALUCOBOND, AIREX, BALTEK, DIBOND, GATOR, KAPA, CRYLON, CRYLUX, PERSPEX, FOREX and SMART-X. Suitable material combinations are selected on the basis of application requirements and processed into innovative composite solutions in industrial manufacturing processes. The core materials for sandwich constructions, backed by more than 75 years of experience, comprise PET foam and balsa wood, with BALTEK balsa cores manufactured in a fully integrated process from FSC-certified company-owned plantations in Ecuador and Papua New Guinea and delivered as core kits. With around 35 sites in Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific, approximately 4,100 employees and annual net revenue of around CHF 1.0 billion, 3A Composites is a division of the Swiss Schweiter Technologies AG. In Germany, the company has locations in Singen (Alusingenplatz 1) and Osnabrück (registered office).
