About 3D fab

3D fab is a 3D printing lab from Ticino, run by two engineering students, Joe Küng (computer science) and Matteo Caletti (electrical engineering). The company manufactures custom prototypes, custom-made spare parts and small series of 10 to 500 pieces using the FDM process, from digital file to finished component. The offering includes CAD design and consulting, so parts can also be reproduced without a 3D file based on photos, measurements or sketches. Printing is done in nine plastic variants, including PLA, ASA, PETG, PC, the carbon-fibre-reinforced materials PA12-CF and PET-CF as well as flexible TPU 95A HF, with layer heights from 0.12 to 0.28 mm and nozzles of 0.40 and 0.60 mm. An automatic online calculator based on real slicing data provides instant price and delivery time for STL and 3MF files. Customers are companies, freelancers and makers; production and support take place in Switzerland with locations in Biasca and Biel/Bienne.
