About us
3D-Mectronic was founded in 1998 by Frank Heimbert Kulke in Rehau with the goal of opening up new areas of application for 3D printing and developing print systems for the AM industry. The company produces and sells AM systems for laser sintering technology (LM/LS), individually tailored to the requirements of industry. The in-house developed multi-component system 3DM-AMS processes plastics, metals and ceramics simultaneously in a fully automated process; build volume, wavelength and post-processes are adjustable. In addition to developing its own machines, 3D-Mectronic offers manufacturer-independent consulting and sales of AM print systems, procurement of used laser sintering systems (primarily EOS) including complete overhauls, as well as maintenance, repair, conversions, material development and training. Retrofitting the Materialise Control Platform enables process control and monitoring of existing laser-based AM systems. Applications include the automotive and aviation industries, medical technology, consumer goods and toy industries as well as mold making.
