About 3D-Point
3D Point F&W GmbH is a 3D printing service provider from Schöneiche near Berlin that supplies companies in mechanical engineering, the automotive industry, medical technology, architecture as well as research and education with additively manufactured components. Production includes FDM printing with over 200 printers, selective laser sintering (SLS) with the EOS Formiga P 110 Velocis, and DLP resin printing with the 3D Systems Figure 4 Standalone. Manufacturing ranges from one-off pieces with no minimum quantity to small series of 100,000 pieces, with lead times of 2 to 5 working days and an express option. The service spectrum includes CAD design in SolidWorks and Fusion 360, 3D scanning and reverse engineering, post-processing (sanding, priming, painting, thread inserts) as well as 100% quality inspection before shipping. Around 3.5 tonnes of material are kept in stock; large-format components up to 800 × 800 × 1000 mm are possible. The company was founded in 2020 by Dieter Fischer and Stefan Wenzel, who had previously set up a corporate 3D printing innovation center for an international consumer goods manufacturer.

Materials & Processes
FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling)
Melt-layer process for prototypes, jigs and small series; layer thickness 0.1–0.3 mm, build volume up to 800 × 800 × 1000 mm.
SLS (Selective Laser Sintering)
Powder-bed-based laser process for complex geometries without support structures; layer thickness 0.06–0.12 mm, build volume 200 × 250 × 330 mm.
DLP resin printing
High-precision resin printing at up to 100 mm/h, build volume 124.8 × 70.2 × 196 mm, also with biocompatible materials.
PLA Pro
Standard FDM material with good dimensional stability for prototypes, display models and housings.
PETG
Tough, food-safe and moisture-resistant FDM material for containers, brackets and functional parts.
ABS / ASA
Temperature-resistant FDM materials; ASA additionally UV-stable for automotive parts and outdoor applications.
PA12 (Nylon)
Standard SLS material with high strength and dimensional stability for functional parts, small series, hinges and clips.
PA11
Bio-based, particularly impact-tough SLS material for thin-walled and dynamically loaded components.
TPU (flexible)
Rubber-like, abrasion-resistant elastomer (Shore 85A–95A) for seals, grips and dampers, via FDM and SLS.
