About 3DIMETIK
3DIMETIK is a metrology service provider founded in 2016 in Kassel and operates its own measurement laboratory with an in-house fleet of measuring equipment. The range of services includes industrial computed tomography (CT), automated optical 3D metrology, optical and tactile metrology, surface roughness measurement, reverse engineering, virtual tool correction, first article inspection reports as well as mobile metrology directly on site at the customer. In the CT testing laboratory, components are digitized and evaluated non-destructively, among other things for shrinkage cavity inspection, porosity analysis according to P202 and P203, wall thickness analysis, assembly and joining control as well as defect analysis of castings and plastic components. Customers come from the automotive industry, aerospace, mechanical engineering, power plant equipment, medical technology as well as construction and manufacturing technology. Projects are completed in approximately 10 working days; the laboratory is accredited to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 by DAkkS and certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.

Processes and Metrology
Industrial Computed Tomography
Non-destructive 3D volume acquisition of castings and plastic components for shrinkage cavity, porosity and wall thickness analysis.
Optical 3D Metrology
Automated and manual 3D component measurement for first article inspection and nominal-actual comparison against CAD geometry.
Tactile Metrology
Precision coordinate measurement for shop-floor and laboratory-related inspection tasks.
Optical 2D Metrology
Fast two-dimensional measurement of contours and profiles.
Surface Roughness Measurement
Capture of surface quality and roughness depths on manufactured components.
Mobile Metrology
Measurement with a portable 3D laser scanner (ZEISS T-SCAN hawk 2) directly on site, also on objects up to several meters in size.
