About 3P Instruments
3P Scientific GmbH (3P INSTRUMENTS), based in Leipzig (Bitterfelder Str. 1), specializes in the characterization of particles, powders, dispersions and porous materials. The company was founded in 1990 as Quantachrome GmbH and was renamed 3P INSTRUMENTS after the sale of Quantachrome Instruments (USA). The portfolio includes analytical instruments for particle size and particle shape analysis (laser diffraction, image analysis, DLS), acoustic and electroacoustic spectroscopy, BET surface and pore analysis, chemisorption, density determination, dynamic vapor sorption and high-pressure adsorption up to 200 bar. Via LabSPA (Laboratory for Scientific Particle Analysis), 3P offers contract analysis services, including mercury intrusion porosimetry and stability analyses. In addition, service, maintenance and spare parts for Quantachrome, CILAS and TURBISCAN instruments as well as fully overhauled used instruments are offered. Application industries include, among others, building materials, catalysts, ceramics, pharmaceuticals, battery research, MOFs and zeolites.
