About 3S Antriebe
3S Antriebe GmbH develops and distributes electric actuator systems designed specifically for buried valves in water, gas and district heating networks. The portfolio includes stationary 3S rotary actuators for butterfly valves, ball valves with gearbox and gate valves, as well as the mobile valve turning and valve maintenance device 3S AIG XS for network operators with small and medium nominal diameters. The actuators are waterproof to IP 68 (2 m) and, using the patented 3S in-ground installation, are installed directly in the soil beneath a standard road cap or manhole cover; alternatively, they can be flange-mounted directly onto the valve in accordance with EN ISO 5210. A standard square operating nut on top of the actuator keeps the valve manually operable despite the actuator, eliminating the need for chambers or civil engineering structures and making retrofit automation of buried valves more cost-effective. 3S actuator technology focuses on efficiency, power output and power-to-weight ratio, making the operation of buried utility networks more economical. Customers are network operators and utilities; sales are carried out with partners worldwide.
