3S - Pulverbeschichtung is a sole proprietorship based in Geretsried in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshagen, near Munich in Upper Bavaria. The company finishes metal parts using electrostatic powder coating (EPS), including bicycle parts, motorcycle parts, passenger car rims, and items from facade construction, interior fitting and general industry. Before coating, the workpieces are cleaned, degreased and pre-treated in a parts washing system; further steps include phosphating, chromating and rinsing. Coating is carried out with polyester, polyurethane and epoxy-based powder coatings, in RAL or custom colors as required; customer-supplied powder can also be processed. The powder is applied electrostatically in a modern powder booth, and subsequently cures in the curing oven at approx. 180 °C. The process is solvent-free and almost fully recyclable. Coating is performed in accordance with the international quality and testing regulations of GSB.
