About 4QT

4QT is an ETH Zurich spin-off based in Zurich and Dübendorf that develops and manufactures hybrid-electric and fully electric drivetrain systems for heavy off-highway machinery. The product portfolio includes the fully electric drivetrain unit iBEX, the hybrid-electric systems iREX MK I through MK III, as well as modular battery packs (400 V, LFP or NMC chemistry), axial flux motors, controls and inverters including software, remote diagnostics and service. The patented, flux-neutral Double Rotor Machine is stackable and designed for high torque density and efficiency. In addition to OEM integration, 4QT offers retrofit solutions for existing machine fleets and manufactures complete vehicles such as hybrid-electric dumpers as well as the autonomous UGV platform CERBERUS. Customers and partners include WALO Bertschinger, Menzi Muck AG, ETH Zurich IWF, armasuisse and Bosch. A field test validated by armasuisse demonstrated up to 39% lower CO2 emissions and 31% reduced fuel consumption.
