4Spaces is a Zurich-based textile company that produces its own exclusive textile collections for interiors in Switzerland and Europe. The team brings more than 30 years of experience in the textile field and has been launching its own collections on the global textile market since 2008. The product range includes curtain fabrics, upholstery fabrics, wall textiles/wallcoverings, acoustic panels, rugs, and, under the online label ZigZagZurich, home textiles, bedding, wool and cotton blankets. Production combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology: fabrics are woven on state-of-the-art looms and then hot-washed in the fabric trough; further processes include thermofixation and textile printing. Yarns processed include cashmere, silk, linen, Egyptian cotton, wool, as well as technical and flame-retardant yarns; all curtain qualities are woven 300 cm wide. Production takes place locally within a radius of at most 500 km. The business divisions 4Spaces Contract and 4Spaces Atelier develop customer-specific solutions, including collaborations with artists; reference projects include a custom-print curtain for the Opéra Garnier Paris and work with Pipilotti Rist.
