77designz UG (haftungsbeschränkt) develops and manufactures the Kavenz mountain bike frame platform in Münster. The company offers the VHP X platform, a modular frame architecture for Trail, Enduro, and Gravity applications, enabling selectable suspension kinematics (Virtual High Pivot) and the choice between belt drive and geared drivetrain. Manufacturing includes precision machined components made of aluminum for the frame systems. The focus is on serviceability, spare part availability, and long-term platform development rather than short product cycles: existing platforms can be upgraded and converted, for example, from Gravity to Enduro configuration. The platform history ranges from VHP G1-G2 through VHP 12, 14, 15, 16, and 18 to the current VHP X. Customers are mountain bike riders in the Enduro, Gravity, and Trail sectors; partners include CompoTech, Spantech, and the FH Münster (Steinfurt Campus). Languages are German and English.
