A.Haberkorn & Co. GmbH is an Austrian manufacturer of technical textiles based in Freistadt (Mühlviertel region), Upper Austria. From a rope-making business founded in 1919, the family-owned company has developed, now in its fifth generation, into an industrial enterprise with 120 employees that manufactures everything from raw fabric to fully finished articles in-house. On more than 100 partially patented looms, over 2 million metres of fire and industrial hose as well as more than 10 million metres of woven webbing are produced annually. The product range includes professional complete systems for fall protection (PPE), custom-made webbing and rope products for industry and technology, circular-woven products and hoses for fire brigades, industry and agriculture, as well as technical fabrics for automotive components. Processes include narrow-fabric weaving, circular and jacquard circular weaving (patent EP 3177759) and braiding technology; processed materials are polyester, polyamide and aramid. In-house testing facilities for tensile, compression, burst pressure, abrasion and flame tests as well as drop-test rigs complement production.
