A&S Holzbau GmbH is an owner-managed family business based in Wiesendangen near Winterthur. Under the motto «Stolz ufs Holz» (Proud of Wood), the company combines carpentry, joinery, roofing, metal roofing, scaffolding and a solar division under one roof. In the company's own joinery, custom-made products such as cupboards, cloakrooms, individual furniture and doors are produced; parquet flooring is also laid and repair work carried out. Swiss solid timber and wood-based panels are processed, including beech, oak (also reclaimed oak), maple, spruce, larch and pine from domestic sources. Production combines craftsmanship with modern technology, including a 5-axis CNC machine for the precise machining of complex workpieces. The company employs more than 45 staff, trains apprentices and operates in the Winterthur, Frauenfeld, Weinland and Schaffhausen regions. On the site in Wiesendangen, two buildings stand directly next to each other, in which all specialist departments work together over short distances.
