About us
A. Widmer Stahl- und Metallbau GmbH is a family business founded in 1953 in the Zollernalbkreis district, focusing on steel construction, metal construction, locksmithing and CNC sheet metal working. As a certified welding specialist according to DIN EN 1090-2, the company manufactures steel structures for halls, stairs, railings, balconies and canopies with a team of ten employees. For industry, Widmer acts as a supplier and produces single-item and series production as well as custom constructions, including punched and bent parts made of steel, aluminium and stainless steel, transport trolleys, robot loading boxes and assemblies. Production includes CNC milling, CNC punching (nibbling), CNC fine plasma cutting, CNC tube bending, press braking and roll bending on a modern, versatile machine fleet. Materials processed include steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel and aluminium; transport trolleys are also delivered powder-coated or galvanized. In addition to manufacturing, the company provides design, planning, assembly as well as industrial locksmith and repair work. In 1983, Alfons and Anton Widmer took over the parental business and have run it to this day.
