About AB-Tec
AB-Tec is a specialized manufacturer of thermoplastic, heat-activatable adhesive nonwovens (TecWeb® adhesive webs) based in Iserlohn. Since its founding in 2001, the company has developed and produced dry, solvent-free hotmelt adhesives supplied by the roll for industrial series applications. The net-like adhesive web joins material combinations such as plastics, metals, ceramics, fiber-reinforced composites (GFRP, CFRP, AFRP), textiles, leather, foams, nonwovens and layered wood composites. The adhesive webs are individually designed to customers' materials, processes and quality requirements, and the company supports customers from requirements analysis through design, sampling and optimization to series approval. With an annual production of over 100 million square meters of adhesive web within the group, AB-Tec is one of the major manufacturers in Europe. Fields of application include automotive and transport, aerospace, lightweight construction and filtration, security and defense, construction and engineering, medical and functional textiles, acoustics and insulation, as well as furniture and interior solutions. Production takes place entirely in Germany; through its affiliation with Spunfab, development is globally networked.
