About ABEL Wellpappe in Form

ABEL Wellpappe in Form GmbH & Co. KG, based in Westheim (Bavaria), has been processing corrugated board into contour-accurate shaped parts, cushion elements and custom system packaging since 1997. On around 10,000 m² of production and administration space in eight halls, a specially developed cutting technology produces highly precise cuts without punching and tooling costs, making even small batch sizes economical. Open-flute corrugated board made from almost 100 % recovered paper (testliner, corrugating medium, schrenz) is processed in flute heights of approx. 3.6 mm, 5.2 mm and 7.2 mm; sheet formats up to 1,300 x 2,600 mm. The product range includes ABEL MULTIFORM as custom shaped parts, variable packaging elements such as packaging wraps, packaging boards and L- and U-profiles, self-adhesive pallet feet, the ABEL MULTISCHALER as a formwork aid for filigree ceilings in construction, and the stock-kept product line ABEL KLASSIK, available within 48 hours. An in-house development department supports customers from concept through planning to implementation. The single-material corrugated board packaging guarantees clean-stream recycling and replaces oil-based packaging materials in the packaging industry, logistics, mechanical engineering and construction.

Materials and Flute Types

C-Welle

Open-flute corrugated board, approx. 3.6 mm

Cushion and shaped-part material with low material thickness for finer applications.

A-Welle

Open-flute corrugated board, approx. 5.2 mm

Standard quality with high load-bearing capacity, e.g. for pallet feet with a nominal load of up to 3,193 kg.

Öko-Welle

Open-flute corrugated board, approx. 7.2 mm

Large flute height for shock-absorbing cushions and high-load packaging elements.

T 125/125

Testliner 125 g

Paper grade for pallet feet with documented compressive strength under different climatic conditions.

Wellenstoff

Corrugating medium

Paper grade for the flute core of the open-flute corrugated board.

Schrenz

Schrenz

Paper grade for economical standard applications.

Nassfest

Water-repellent, wet-strength coating

Coating of the Multischaler for clean concrete surfaces and edges after striking the formwork.
