About AbelaPharm Swiss
AbelaPharm Swiss is a Swiss pharmaceutical manufacturer whose production sites are located in the surroundings of Belgrade (Serbia). The company produces solid pharmaceutical forms and pharmaceutical solutions; a focus lies on the manufacture of probiotics and dietary supplements. The portfolio and development target the therapeutic areas gastroenterology, cardiology, pulmonology and rheumatology. In 2011, Alvogen built a modern production facility with the highest GMP standards, capable of producing 20 million pharmaceutical units per year, which was later taken over by AbelaPharm. Previously, AbelaPharm had already acquired a production facility from STADA near Belgrade and invested more than 6 million euros over 1.5 years in equipment, machinery, production processes and manufacturing licenses. With the acquisition of the third factory, the existing plants were specialized and the portfolio expanded.
