ABS-Ingenieurdienstleistung GmbH was founded in 2019 in Ahlsdorf in southern Saxony-Anhalt and operates as a service provider and manufacturing partner in mechanical and plant engineering. The managing directors Tobias Balzer and Maik Schäfer previously held leading positions for many years at SCHIESS GmbH in Aschersleben, a manufacturer of large machining centres. The range of services includes machine analysis with measurement of machine geometry, positioning accuracy by laser interferometry as well as vibration and modal analysis, virtual commissioning (digital twin), PLC and NC programming, HMI applications and data backup. In the production sector, the company manufactures individual components and welded assemblies (MAG/TIG), builds control cabinets and electrical installations as well as automation and special-purpose systems, including FANUC and KUKA robot systems, and carries out retrofit and repair work. CNC-milled parts are produced on a DMG MILLTAP 700 from lot size 1 as contract machining, on request also delivered coated or heat-treated. Since 2021 the company has had its own production hall on the site of the axle plant in Staßfurt.

Quality and Measurement Technology
Quality assurance relies on comprehensive measurement technology: measurement of machine geometry, laser interferometry with the Renishaw XL-80 (ISO 230-2, VDI/DGQ 3441), vibration and modal analysis according to ISO 10816-3, as well as circular form test and workpiece/tool measurement. A protocol is created for every machine measurement.
