Founded in 1984 by Heinz Terodde in Bocholt, ABZ Terodde GmbH is a machining company specialized in the production of large, heavy and technically complex metal components. On more than 4000 m² of production space in the Schlavenhorst Industrial Park and at its subsidiary BHT GmbH & Co. KG, the company manufactures components with unit weights of up to 16 tonnes, workpiece diameters of up to Ø 2,600 mm and lengths of up to 3,500 mm. The service portfolio covers vertical and horizontal CNC turning, horizontal and vertical milling with 5-axis technology and angle heads, external, internal and surface grinding, heat treatment, painting, coating, marking, welding and the assembly of subassemblies up to ready-to-install units. Metals machined include steel, duplex stainless steel and highly alloyed tool steels such as 1.2379. Customers include machinery and apparatus engineering, heavy machinery construction, punching and forming technology, and drive technology. Production ranges from one-offs to small and series production; a Hexagon measuring arm with documented measurement reports ensures quality.

Highly alloyed air-hardening tool steel for extremely stressed components in punching and forming technology, among other things produced here as a tool cassette, heat treated to 1100 N/mm².
