Your Partner for Innovative Terahertz Solutions

ACST GmbH is a company founded in 2006 as a spin-off of the Technical University of Darmstadt, headquartered in Hanau (Großauheim). The company manufactures III-V semiconductor devices based on its proprietary film-diode process, including film diodes on a transferred insulating membrane, diamond diodes with a monolithically integrated diamond substrate, and traditional planar Schottky diodes on semi-insulating GaAs substrate. Building on this, ACST develops and manufactures frequency multipliers, mixers, THz sources, AMC extenders, detectors, passive waveguide components and custom mm-wave systems. The value chain from microelectronics manufacturing to module and system enables short development cycles for customized solutions. The components are used in security and quality control applications, radio astronomy, climate research, biotechnology, telecommunications, and in ESA space missions in Europe and Asia.
