Adam Schleiftechnik AG is a contract grinding shop based in Wangen (Canton of Zurich, Switzerland) which, in January 1998, took over the inventory and premises of Walter Schmid Präzisionsschleiferei AG in Uster, thereby continuing the tradition of a precision grinding company that has existed for over 30 years. The company offers cylindrical grinding (CNC and conventional, including profile grinding) for diameters from 0.3 to 250 mm at lengths up to 1000 mm, lapping and cylindrical lapping (Ø 0.3–140 mm, Ra 0.2–0.4), flat honing and fine grinding (Ø 0.5–30 mm, tolerances ±0.001 mm) as well as centerless through-feed and profile grinding (Ø 0.2–15 mm). Machined materials include steel (soft, hard, tempered, hardened), stainless steel, carbide, aluminium, brass, copper, Durnico, plastics, glass and ceramics. In addition to its grinding services, the company distributes the Easy Centerless Kit, a conversion kit that transforms existing grinding machines with centers into centerless grinding machines. Customers come from precision engineering and mechanical engineering.
