About ADF-Apparatebau
Since 1967, ADF-Apparatebau GmbH has been producing vessels for a wide range of applications at its Freudenberg site. A large share of revenue is generated by the manufacture of filter vessels used in drinking water treatment, bathing water treatment, full demineralization systems and the beverage industry. The manufacturing range includes adsorption vessels, activated carbon filters, pressure accumulator boilers, degassers, ion exchangers, reactors, stripper and absorption columns as well as other apparatus up to a diameter of 5000 mm, a length of 20 m and a unit weight of 30 t. Materials processed include structural steels, pressure vessel steels, austenitic steels and duplex steels; welding is performed using TIG, MIG/MAG, submerged arc and manual metal arc welding. Carbon steel vessels receive an internal hard rubber lining or epoxy resin interior coating through partner companies. Technical drawings are produced using 2D CAD, and strength calculations to AD-2000 are part of the service portfolio. 20 employees work in administration and production; the company is certified to EN ISO 3834-3 and holds the AD 2000 HP 0 approval. As of January 2023, 2000 projects had been completed and 8100 pressure vessels built.
