AdFiS products GmbH, based in Teterow (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern), manufactures doped activated carbon and activated carbon filter systems for purifying technical gases. The core product is the doped activated carbon dopetac sulfo 100®, manufactured in Germany, for the desulphurisation of biogas, which removes hydrogen sulphide and, in a single step, additionally siloxanes, VOCs and mercaptans. Further products are the AFA 4-dot. S for exhaust air purification and the special hard coal AFA 4-1050 S for siloxane and hydrocarbon removal. In addition to activated carbon, the company manufactures its own filter systems such as channel shaft filters, pipe-insert/pipe filters (DN 100/110 and DN 150), small filters and adsorbers — including in-house design, prototype construction, testing and series production. The service portfolio also includes gas analysis, design and optimisation consulting, on-site gas measurement, a Germany-wide activated carbon replacement service, and disposal of used activated carbon with a disposal certificate. The products are used in more than 1,500 biogas plants in Germany and in over 30 countries worldwide.

The activated carbon is stored batch-sorted according to the first-in-first-out principle, so that 100% ready-to-use material is delivered. On-site gas measurements (H2S, O2, methane content, gas temperature) serve the design and optimisation of gas purification.
