About AFT
Advanced Firefighting Technology GmbH (AFT), based in Bohmte (Lower Saxony), develops and applies low-pressure water mist and CAFS firefighting technology (Compressed Air Foam). The technology produces high-quality water mist at low pressure and achieves long throw ranges for safe firefighting operations; it is based on fluid-dynamic approaches for the treatment of liquid/gas mixtures. The systems are available in portable, mobile and fixed designs: these include backpack systems, trolley systems, modular skid units as well as the AFT MPM 05 for pickup, small trucks or trailers, in particular for rapid intervention vehicles and operations in hard-to-access terrain such as forest and mountain regions. AFT systems are used worldwide, including at industrial sites, municipal operations, helicopter landing pads and fire departments. The company was founded in 1999 and employs 11–50 people.
