Holding with three specialized subsidiaries
AEROSPACE TECHNOLOGY GROUP GmbH, based in Laupheim (Baden-Württemberg), is the strategic holding of a corporate group with the subsidiaries AEROSPACE COMPOSITES GmbH, SPACE MECHATRONICS GmbH and SPACE INDUSTRIES GmbH. The focus is on the development and production of launch vehicles, rocket engines and unmanned aerial vehicles (including the Elektra Solar UAS drone) using composite and additive manufacturing technology. In addition, the company develops and manufactures electric motors. The carbon materials expertise is also applied outside the aerospace sector: for Expo 2030 in Riyadh, a 140 m high carbon structure pyramid with a 230 m base edge length is being built, and PTFE mesh structures are used for shading, facades and roof structures. The CARBO-SPACE-2L rocket system (height 26.180 mm, diameter 2.400 mm, payload 1.200 kg) targets commercial satellite transport to SSO orbits of 500–600 km. Industries include aerospace, telecommunications, surveillance, construction and architecture.
