About Aerumtec
Aerumtec GmbH, based in Weißenburg, is a specialist manufacturer of wires, strands, braids and ropes made of copper, electroplated copper, Histral® alloys as well as special materials such as silver, pure nickel, stainless steel, tin and aluminium. The product range extends from single wire to bundled and concentric strands, round ropes, shielding braids and flexible busbars to resistance-welded strands, assemblies and traditional Leonese goods. At the Weißenburg site, with three production halls covering 24,247 m², the company covers the entire value chain: heavy wire drawing, electroplating (tin, silver, gold), fine wire drawing, bundling, stranding, braiding, rolling, compacting and welding. Customers come from the automotive industry (including e-mobility), aerospace, data transmission, medical technology, renewable energies as well as industrial applications such as energy storage systems and switch cabinets. Around 200 employees manufacture at the site; after the carve-out from LEONI AG in 2023, the company operates as an independent supplier of high-quality copper wire.

Materials and Processes
Copper Cu-ETP
Electrolytic copper as the standard conductor material for wires, strands and braids.
Copper Cu-OF (oxygen-free)
Oxygen-free copper for demanding electrical applications.
27% nickel-plated copper
Nickel-plated copper as a coated conductor material.
Pure nickel
Conductor material for special applications.
Silver (fine silver 99.97%)
Highest electrical conductivity of all elements, used among other things for electronics, textiles and the creative sector.
Stainless steel V4A
Corrosion-resistant chromium-nickel steel, among other things for shielding braids.
Tin
Tin plating of copper conductors as well as alloying component.
Aluminium
Lightweight conductor material for suitable applications.
Histral®H high-strength alloys (e.g. H65, H79, H64, H77, H85, H72, H69, H26)
Copper-based alloys with exceptional tensile strength and temperature resistance.
Histral®R resistance alloys (e.g. R51, R56, R55, R54, R53, R15)
Resistance alloys with precisely tuned resistance values.
