About Aesyra
Aesyra SA is a medical technology startup and spin-off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), founded in 2017 in collaboration with medical experts from the Clinique Universitaire de Médecine Dentaire de Genève (CUMD). The company develops, manufactures and distributes smart dental splints (oral appliances) for the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of sleep bruxism, nocturnal teeth grinding and clenching. The products of the AesyBite family (Discover, Active, Custom as well as Swiss GRD) are characterized by a compact design, embedded sensors for recording jaw activity and an individual fit to the patient's teeth using digital dental technology. AesyBite Active delivers active biofeedback that reduces teeth grinding without waking the patient. The company operates a certified quality management system according to ISO 13485 and, with AesyBite Discover, is available to healthcare professionals in the European Union. The operational headquarters is located in Bussigny, the legal address in the EPFL Innovation Park in Lausanne.
