About AGW Elektrotechnik
AGW Elektrotechnik GmbH, founded in 1954, is an owner-managed family business in its third generation, headquartered in Georgsmarienhütte near Osnabrück. The company brings electrical engineering trades together under one roof: electrical installation, medium- and low-voltage systems up to 20 kV, switchgear construction with in-house control cabinet manufacturing, data network technology, building and industrial automation, and security technology (fire alarm, intrusion detection and video systems, hazard management systems). In its own LEAN production hall, control cabinets, low-voltage main distribution boards (NSHV), MCR cabinets and PLC/process cabinets have been designed, assembled and tested since 2012; the 1,000th control cabinet was delivered in 2023. Switchgear is manufactured as type-tested assemblies according to IEC 61439, and every system undergoes a unit and functional test before delivery. Customers include industry and manufacturing, hospitals, logistics, the public sector and utilities. In addition to Georgsmarienhütte (Plant I, II and III), the company has branches in Senden and Quakenbrück.
