About AKKO
AKKO Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. was founded in 1986 by Abdullah Karakuş and manufactures cutting tools for CNC machining: turning tools, milling tools, drilling tools, threading and grooving tools, vibration-damping deep-hole drilling tools, tool holders and indexable inserts. Production takes place at an integrated plant with an area of almost 40,000 m² in Konya, Turkey, on modern machinery and equipment from Turkey, Japan, Germany and Switzerland. The entire production process — processing of the steel semi-finished material made specially for AKKO, heat treatment and coating — takes place in its own plant. The company produces 10,000 standard tool types with an annual capacity of 500,000 units and keeps at least 300,000 finished products in stock. The products are delivered to 90 countries on seven continents, including Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America and the Middle East.
