About AKON-CAD-Services
AKON-CAD-Services Jacobs is a design office founded in 1984 by Heinrich Jacobs and operated on a freelance basis, located in Wesel. Originally established as Jacobs Maschinenbau, the company evolved until 1997 into a special machinery manufacturer, planning, designing, manufacturing, and commissioning machines and systems with 40 employees. In 1997, the planning and design department was separated from the manufacturing department; since then, AKON-CAD-Services has operated as a one-man company that can, if required, utilize up to five workstations from partner companies. The portfolio of services includes 3D quotation designs, design and development, calculations and statics, manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, feasibility studies, scheduling, permit designs, CE-compliant documentation, and assembly and commissioning support. Machines and systems can be fully manufactured, assembled, and commissioned through nearby manufacturing companies. A focus is the development of deep drawing tools, such as the Swift tool developed jointly with a deep drawing company for single-pass deep drawing of metal pots at temperatures up to 900 °C. Customers come from special machinery, mechanical and plant engineering, deep drawing technology, and tool building.
