Aktas GmbH & Co. KG is a medium-sized, owner-managed metalworking company in Haan near Düsseldorf. Its focus is on CNC machining technology: the company manufactures high-quality turned and milled parts as well as ready-to-install components for mechanical and plant engineering, drive elements, valves and fittings, control technology and plant construction. The core of production is a machine park of more than twelve CNC machining centers including five-axis machines and precision measuring stations, supplemented by further metal-processing and machining production units. In addition to machining, Aktas handles the procurement of a wide variety of materials and casting molds through to finished products from a single source — including gravity die casting, sand casting, investment casting and die casting with grey cast iron. The product range comprises over 4,000 components made to customer requirements, for example bearing seats, shafts, axles, rotors, milling tools and cast housings. In addition, Aktas provides advice on development issues, model procurement and alternative machining options.
