About Alanod

Alanod, based in Ennepetal, is a manufacturer of functional and decorative aluminum surfaces. The company finishes aluminum strip using the coil-to-coil process through anodizing (electrolytic oxidation), PVD coating in high vacuum and lacquering; four anodizing lines, four PVD systems (ALBA I–IV) and one lacquering line are available. The portfolio includes highly reflective surfaces (MIRO®, MIRO-SILVER®), selective solar absorbers (mirotherm®, mirosol®), solar reflectors (MIRO-SUN®), decorative surfaces (DECO PRIME®), functional films (TECHNO PRIME), insulation-lacquered strip for transformers (MIRO® Volt) and base material for CoB LED modules. Up to 8,000 t of aluminum are processed per year, in part using up to 90% recycled material and 100% green electricity from hydropower. Customer industries include facade and wall construction, the furniture industry, automotive, solar thermal, lighting, electronics as well as marine and rail transport. In addition to its headquarters, Alanod maintains locations in the UK, the USA, China, Taiwan and India.
