Dreherei ALBER – Your Partner for Turning and Milling

Alber Metallbearbeitung GmbH is a family business from Meßkirch that has offered subtractive manufacturing since 1983. The company manufactures high-quality turned and milled parts from metal and plastic—from prototype and single-piece production to series production—on a machine park consisting of 21 CNC lathes with automatic tool changers, 8 CNC loading machines, 4 CNC machines with setup and end-loading systems, and 3- and 4-axis milling centers. Another focus is brake disc manufacturing: processing cast parts up to 400 mm in diameter and 60 kg in weight, as well as the fine machining and assembly of carbon-ceramic brake discs (C/SiC) into ready-to-install units for the premium segment of the automotive industry. The value creation includes CAD/CAM programming, individual fixture design, part cleaning with ultrasound and vacuum drying, balancing, painting, assembly, and a finished goods high-density racking system. The quality management system is based on DIN EN ISO 9001:2015. Approximately 65 employees work across roughly 4,000 m² of production area.

Quality Management

The quality management system is based on DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (Certificate QBC878, ABICert, valid until 15.02.2029) with the goal of customer satisfaction. Process FMEA, capability studies, PPF, 8D/5W/Ishikawa, and process-related SPC checks on quality control charts are used. Four CNC-controlled 3D coordinate measuring machines with automatic probe changing, two special measuring machines for 100% inspection of brake discs, a contour measuring device, a digital profile projector, and roughness measuring instruments are available.
