Albers & Co. GmbH operates a down cycle under the fluuf brand in Lingen (Ems) for the take-back, processing and reuse of used down and feather products. In the recycling process, the filling of old down products is separated from the cotton shell; the down and feathers are cleaned of dirt and grease in a washing drum using soap, then dried and sterilized in a 120 °C hot drying machine and sorted by airflow into down and feather fractions as well as quality grades. The processed filling is weighed, labeled and filled in a filling machine into new shells made of 100 % organic cotton (inlets). From this, recycled down duvets (summer, all-season and winter duvets), pillows, wedge pillows and children's products are created. In addition, the company offers services such as cleaning/washing and refilling/re-filling of down duvets and pillows as well as the acceptance of down donations. Shipping is exclusively within the EU.
