About Albert Maier GmbH

Albert Maier GmbH is a manufacturer of valves/fittings and accessories for liquid-filled transformers. Founded more than 65 years ago as a supplier of butterfly valves to the AEG transformer works in Stuttgart, the portfolio today includes, in addition to butterfly valves per DIN 42560 and EN 50216, protective devices such as the MBP Buchholz relay and the MCHD protection block, air dehydrators (breathers), oil level indicators, pressure relief valves, fittings for boiler/tank construction as well as no-load tap changers up to 1250 A. Manufacturing includes, among other processes, aluminium die casting, grey cast iron EN-GJL-200, forging and deep drawing; surfaces are finished with C5-M powder coating (SOLIDLINE®), anodising or metallic coatings. Materials include aluminium (including seawater-resistant), stainless steel 1.4404 and 1.4462, steel, grey cast iron, brass, copper and plastics. Customers include leading manufacturers of distribution and power transformers. Production is carried out with around 100 employees in Weil der Stadt as well as by the partner company Mibos in Turkey; delivery is handled worldwide via a partner network.
