Company
alcom International GmbH, based in Reutlingen, is part of the SMT-ALCOM group of companies and supplies extrusion profiles made from various aluminium alloys for almost all industries, especially mechanical engineering and solar technology. The portfolio includes more than 250 stock profile cross-sections in different slot sizes and grid spacings as well as over 1000 assembly and fastening elements; the system framings are compatible with the standard mechanical engineering profiles (Bosch and Item). In addition to custom aluminium profiles, the company offers profile cut-offs to customer specifications, profile machining, CNC turned and milled parts, stamped and bent parts, zinc and plastic parts as well as assembly technology such as machine enclosures and workstation systems. Three high-performance sawing centres produce more than 2000 units per day in a flexible shift system; on average 1500 tonnes of aluminium profiles and accessories are held in stock at the site. The premises, extended for the fourth time in 2013, cover 10,000 m². Customers come from, among others, mechanical and plant engineering, aerospace, the automotive industry, conveying technology and the packaging industry.
