About Alfred Herrmann Apparatebau
Alfred Herrmann Apparatebau GmbH is a master craft business from Calw-Stammheim in the Black Forest with over 70 years of experience in lead and metal processing. The core competence lies in the processing of lead and the manufacture of X-ray cabins: lead is cast in two melting furnaces each with a capacity of approx. 800 kg (approx. 130,000 kg per year) and then machined on modern CNC milling machines and CNC lathes. Lead sheets in thicknesses from 0.5 to 100 mm are cut, bent, welded, soldered or professionally bonded to steel and mechanically joined. In addition, the company offers MAG, MIG and TIG welding of steel, aluminium and special materials as well as painting and sandblasting in its own facilities. Production from CAD design through procurement to the painted assembly is provided from a single source. Customers are found in radiation protection for medicine and research, in chemical and plant engineering, in mechanical and apparatus engineering, as well as in the automotive industry and nuclear power plant construction.
