About allvac
allvac Folien GmbH, headquartered in Waltenhofen in the Allgäu region, has been producing deep-drawable PA/PE composite films and barrier films for flexible packaging since 1992. Production is carried out by blown film extrusion with up to 18 layers (water-cooled) as well as cast extrusion (coextrusion) with up to 11 layers. Materials used include polyamide (PA), polyethylene (PE), EVOH, polypropylene (PP), SURLYN® (ionomer) and PET with additives and masterbatches. The portfolio includes medium- and high-barrier films, high-temperature films (PA/PP), multilayer bag films as well as coloured, printable, peelable and antifog-equipped variants, complemented by converting, lamination and printing. Customers include the food industry (meat, sausage, cheese, fish, convenience), the pharmaceutical industry, medical technology, electronics and mechanical engineering; around 60% of revenue comes from exports. allvac Folien GmbH is part of the allfogroup founded in 1966 together with its sister companies allfo and brevac; since 2017 all three companies have been producing at the shared Waltenhofen site on around 23,000 m² of production and warehouse space.

Materials and Processes
Polyamide (PA)
Forms the mechanically strong layers of the deep-drawable composite films.
Polyethylene (PE)
Serves as the sealing layer and moisture barrier on the product-facing side.
EVOH
Functional barrier layer against oxygen and aroma loss for long shelf lives.
SURLYN® (Ionomer)
For special applications with medium barriers within the film composite.
Polypropylene (PP)
Enables PA/PP high-temperature films, e.g. for pasteurisation and sterilisation.
PET
Used for film composites, certified within the BRCGS scope.
Blown film extrusion
Coextrusion of blown films with up to 18 layers, water-cooled, for flexible formats and lidding films.
Cast extrusion / Coextrusion
Cast film extrusion with up to 11 layers for thicker, highly transparent deep-drawing films in large lot sizes.
Converting
Cutting of the films into rolls and winding for further processing.
