The alu EXPERTEN GmbH in Langerwehe, located between Cologne and Aachen, is a medium-sized sheet metal fabricator specializing in the manufacture of custom bent parts from aluminium, steel and stainless steel. With two LVD panel shears and two press brakes each with 4 to 6 metres processing length, bent sheet metal with material thicknesses up to 5 mm is produced; cutting can be set to one tenth of a millimetre precision. The service portfolio includes cutting and sawing, folding and bending, punching, drilling, aluminium welding including weld dressing, and stud welding. Powder coating in RAL and DB colours, anodizing and wet painting are offered through long-standing partner companies; pre-coated, foldable material is stocked. Several hundred tonnes of material are processed annually, sourced from German and Austrian production. Typical products are wall copings with an proprietary clip system, sunshade boxes, window sills, drainage channels and hat profiles for construction, architecture and sun protection. Ordering is via an online shop with configurator, from individual parts through to project support, with home delivery or pickup at the works.
