About Aludium
Aludium is a European manufacturer of rolled aluminium products (flat-rolled products) with around 1,000 employees and more than 60 years of experience, which emerged from three former Alcoa plants in Spain and France. The company produces aluminium coils, sheets, foils and circles as well as high-purity aluminium products in customised alloys and dimensions. The value chain ranges from remelting and refining of aluminium scrap (around 70% of the metals come from recycling) through casting, hot and cold rolling to surface finishing by lacquering and anodising, including the registered surface technologies Texturandum® and Decorandum®. With the Aludium Eco product range introduced in 2022, Aludium offers rolled products with a certified low CO2 footprint of less than 2 to 4 tonnes of CO2 per tonne of aluminium (cradle-to-gate, ISO 14067). Locations are Alicante (casting, cold rolling, finishing, R&D centre CINDAL) and Amorebieta (remelting, casting, hot/cold rolling) in Spain, as well as Castelsarrasin in France (cold rolling mill, coil production). Customer industries include architecture, energy and thermal insulation, packaging, distributors/service centres, tools and consumer electronics, as well as transport and automotive.

All three plants are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001; the Spanish and French sites additionally to IATF 16949 as well as to ASI Performance Standard and Chain of Custody. Testing and certification are carried out by independent bodies such as BSI and DNV.

Five-year supply contract with Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) for rolling slabs, signed in Abu Dhabi; EGA has been supplying Aludium since 2017.
- 2019
The Alicante and Amorebieta plants receive ASI Performance Standard certification on 13 December.
- 2022
First ASI Chain of Custody (CoC) for Alicante and Amorebieta; launch of the Aludium Eco product line with certified low CO2 footprint (24.11.2022).

ASI CEO Fiona Solomon visits the Amorebieta plant; Castelsarrasin receives ASI Performance Standard (18.04.2023) and Chain of Custody (21.07.2023).
