Aluminium Giesserei Eggingen – casting in precision from the southern Black Forest
Aluminium Giesserei Eggingen GmbH was founded in 1996 and specializes in high-quality, leak-tight aluminium castings produced by the permanent mold casting process for small and medium production volumes. The entire value chain is located at the Eggingen site in the southern Black Forest: from CAD design through in-house toolmaking with die manufacturing and sand core production (CO2 process) to the foundry with 24 gravity permanent mold casting machines and 2 tilting die casting machines. All common Euro-norm and special alloys, including heat-treatable ones, are processed and sourced exclusively from certified smelters. Part weights range from 0.020 kg to 10 kg. Complementary services include heat treatment, 5-axis CNC machining, welding, pre-assembly, as well as metrology and quality assurance including leak testing. The company supplies the automotive and supply industry, electrical industry, heating engineering, mechanical engineering, household appliance manufacturers, building component production and the furniture industry, throughout Europe.

Gravity and tilting permanent mold casting
Rapid cooling yields good microstructural and mechanical properties, high dimensional accuracy and anodizable surfaces.
Sand core production (CO2 process)
In-house core-making shop with two core-shooting machines (12–25 liters) for complex internal structures.
Hardening / age hardening
In-house heat treatment system to improve the mechanical properties of heat-treatable alloys.

Quality
Quality assurance includes 3D coordinate metrology, spectral analyses, visual inspections, section samples and underwater leak tests; strength, hardness, X-ray, microstructure, crack and residual dirt testing are carried out with external laboratories. On request, test and analysis certificates accompany the castings.
