About American Coir Company
American Coir Company is a US-based, family-owned manufacturer headquartered in Texas that produces engineered natural-fiber systems made from coconut fiber (coir). The product range includes biodegradable geosynthetics (HYDROLOCK™), high-tensile woven geotextiles (NATURSTRATA™) in weight classes from 400 to 1200 g/m², hydraulic geocomposites (HYDROFILTRA™), and peat-free, aged coir substrates (DUTCH PRO6™, DUTCH PRO74™, Grow Bags). The substrates undergo a 6-month sterile curing process and a 7-fold washing and screening process (7×7) for desalination and dust removal; blocks are compressed to 900–1,050 kg/m³. The systems are free of microplastics, synthetic netting and chemical binders and are delivered with technical documentation, COAs and lot tracking. Customers are agencies and contractors in areas such as flood protection, transportation infrastructure, land reclamation and horticulture. Shipping from the Texas hub takes place within 48 hours; deliveries meet BABA requirements for federal projects.

Materials & Processes
Coir (coconut fiber, mature, lignin-rich)
High-lignin mature coconut fiber as base material for geotextiles, geocomposites and substrates with predictable degradation.
Cocopeat / Coir substrate (peat-free)
Peat-free, aged substrate with defined pH (7.0 ±0.2), EC ≤0.2 mS/cm and 22–28% air-filled porosity for professional horticulture.
Natural cotton (stitching/netting)
Double cotton stitching as a plastic-free alternative to synthetic netting, safe against mulch removal and wildlife.
