About Ampereship
Ampereship GmbH specializes in the manufacture of emission-free electric and solar ships as well as ferries for commercial shipping. Founded in 2010 as a spin-off of Ostseestaal GmbH & Co. KG, the company transfers steel and shipbuilding know-how from its parent company into emission-free ships. At the Stralsund site, electric and solar ferries are built, configured for 20 to 300 PAX and deployed internationally. The range of services extends from turnkey e-ships from design to delivery, through conversions and retrofits to electric propulsion, to propulsion systems with e-motors and batteries. With Smart Cruise Control, an AI-supported solution optimizes course, speed and energy consumption in real time. As a member of the Dutch Central Industry Group (CIG), Ampereship also offers the virtual shipyard concept: pre-outfitted large modules enable final assembly even without a shipyard on site; remote maintenance of ship systems is likewise carried out without on-site deployment.
