About Angstrom Voss
Angstrom Voss GmbH is a family business founded in 1957, based in Finnentrop-Heggen (Sauerland) and today part of the internationally active Angstrom Automotive Group. The certified foundry specialist manufactures aluminium cast parts by die casting (unit weights 0.03–3 kg) and gravity die casting (0.1–8 kg) on four cold-chamber die casting machines with clamping forces of 225 to 550 tonnes. The service portfolio covers the entire value chain: toolmaking (die casting tools, permanent moulds, jigs), casting simulation, CNC machining, heat treatment, surface coating, joining techniques and assembly of components and assembly groups. Prototypes and pre-series parts are produced via sand moulding or 3D printing. Customers come from the automotive industry, the sun protection systems (awning) sector and general industry; deliveries are also made just-in-time. Around 40 employees manufacture according to DIN ISO 9001:2015 certified processes.

Materials & Processes
Die casting (aluminium)
Precision process for high dimensional accuracy, thin wall thicknesses and large series of over 5,000 parts p. a.
Gravity die casting (aluminium)
For smaller to medium series from 300 parts p. a. with thicker wall thicknesses, fine-grained microstructure and manageable tool costs.
Prototypes via sand moulding
Production of prototypes and sample parts for first load tests in the early development stage.
Additive manufacturing (3D printing)
Alternative prototype production of aluminium parts using modern additive processes.
CNC machining
Order-specific further machining of cast parts into ready-to-install components in CNC machining centres.
Aluminium
All common aluminium die casting and gravity die casting alloys as the base material of all cast parts.
Brass and steel (cast-in parts)
Threads, bearing bushes and pins made of brass or steel can be cast in during gravity die casting.
