APAC Aluminiumgießerei GmbH is a German industrial service provider focusing on gravity shell casting and sand hand mold casting in aluminum. The company originated from APAG – Aluminium Präzision Armaturen Guß GmbH, founded in 1923 in Potsdam, one of Germany's first lightweight metal foundries, and has been continuing the craft of aluminum casting for over two decades. The sister company Füllner & Partner – Mechanische Fertigung und Ingenieurbüro GmbH, located in Stahnsdorf near Berlin, was founded in 1992 by Stephan Füllner and Detlef Schmidt and complements the foundry with product development, 3D design, as well as software and hardware development. In addition to casting, the value chain includes CNC machining (milling up to 5 axes, turning with driven tools), cleaning including finishing and packaging, and assembly of mechatronic components, assemblies, and complete units. Furthermore, APAC manufactures outdoor and garden lights through its own lighting manufacturing division. At the facility in Stahnsdorf, the electricity demand is met, among other things, by a proprietary photovoltaic system.
