About APAC and Füllner & Partner
The APAC Aluminiumgießerei GmbH in Potsdam traces its origins to the APAG – Aluminium Präzision Armaturen Guß GmbH founded in 1923, one of the first light-metal foundries in Germany, and has carried on the craft of aluminium sand and permanent mould casting to this day. The sister company Füllner & Partner – Mechanische Fertigung und Ingenieurbüro GmbH in Stahnsdorf near Berlin was founded in 1992 by Stephan Füllner and Detlef Schmidt and handles design, machining and assembly. The value chain extends from 3D design and software and hardware development through aluminium sand hand-mould casting for individual parts and small series as well as gravity die casting for series production, to fettling, CNC milling with up to five axes, CNC turning with driven tools, and assembly into mechatronic components, assemblies and complete devices. In addition to contract manufacturing for industry and mechanical engineering, the company operates its own luminaire manufactory. Resistance furnaces and industrial trucks have been powered by electricity from the company's own photovoltaic system since 2017.
