About Arconic
Arconic is a US aluminium manufacturer headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, founded in 2016 as part of the split of Alcoa Inc. The company produces aluminium sheet, plate and extruded profiles as well as innovative architectural products for the aerospace, automotive and commercial transportation, construction, industrial applications and packaging industries. Arconic invented aluminium brazing sheet and operates its own R&D center for this product in Lancaster, PA; proprietary multi-layer sheet serves as a design enabler for thermal management systems. The portfolio includes rolled products, extrusions (rod, tube, forged preforms), a casting/cast-house network for billets and dambar, as well as façade systems and composite panels (including the Kawneer and Reynobond brands). Proprietary automotive alloys with up to 85% recycled content are used in closed-loop manufacturing. Locations are situated in the USA, the UK, Hungary and Germany (Arconic Extrusions Hannover GmbH); since 2023, Arconic has been owned by the private equity firm Apollo Global Management.
