About Arthur Henninger GmbH

Arthur Henninger GmbH (AHK) is a provider of electroplated surface coating that has been active for over 75 years, headquartered in Hagenbach (Rhineland-Palatinate) with locations in Karlsruhe and Lichtenau. Its service portfolio includes nickel sulfamate coating, hard chrome (dimensional, oversized and thick-layer chrome plating, combination layers with electroless nickel), the tin-nickel alloy Stinox®, electroless nickel (NiDur®, NiP) and NanoDisp®-PTFE, zinc-iron layers in an alkaline process, electroplated galvanizing and phosphating. These are complemented by upstream and downstream services such as glass bead blasting, cylindrical grinding between centers, tempering (heat aging, hydrogen removal, layer hardening) and degreasing. Coating is carried out on automatic systems as well as in individual manual electroplating for workpieces made of steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Customers come from electrical engineering, the automotive and vehicle industries, mechanical and plant engineering, toolmaking, the packaging and paper industry, the chemical industry and sheet metal working. The company is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 and took over the site of the company MBW in Lichtenau in order to expand its portfolio to include zinc, zinc-iron, hard chrome and phosphating.

Aluminium

Workpieces for electroless nickel (NiDur®) and premium corrosion protection coatings.

Ni-Sulfamat

Nickel sulfamate coating

Ductile, crack-free surface with higher layer thicknesses.

Hartchrom

Hard chrome (dimensional / oversized / thick-layer chrome plating)

Improves hardness, wear and corrosion protection; also combination layers with electroless nickel.

SnNi

Stinox® (tin-nickel alloy)

Electrolytically deposited alloy with low nickel emission.

NiP

NiDur® electroless nickel

Autocatalytic nickel-phosphorus deposition as a corrosion protection layer.

NiP-PTFE

NanoDisp®-PTFE

Electroless nickel with PTFE for wear protection and sliding properties.

ZnFe

Zinc-iron (alkaline)

Cr(VI)-free corrosion protection for steel, 3–20 µm, 360 h NSS without white rust.

Zn

Electroplated galvanizing

Widely used, cost-effective process for corrosion-resistant coatings.

Phosphat

Phosphating

Forms a bonding base and improves the formability of the surface.
